Ο Walter Hamada στο πάνελ του Multiverse 101 στο DC FanDome επισημοποίησε ότι το The Batman του Matt Reeves δεν θα ανήκει στο DCEU αλλά θα λαμβάνει χώρα σε διαφορετική Γη του Multiverse της DC Comics.
Η ταινία είναι προγραμματισμένο να κάνει πρεμιέρα στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες της Αμερικής την 1η Οκτωβρίου του 2021. Στο καστ βρίσκονται οι Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Jayme Lawson, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell και Gil Perez-Abraham.
Ο Matt Reeves σκηνοθετεί το φιλμ από σενάριο που έχει γράψει μαζί με τον Mattson Tomlin. Οι Reeves και Dylan Clark έχουν χρέη παραγωγού και οι Simon Emanuel, Michael E. Uslan, Walter Hamada και Chantal Nong Vo έχουν καθήκοντα ειδικού παραγωγού.
